Vegetarian Spirulina Pesto

Here's a great weeknight recipe that you can put together in minutes! Featuring our Lifestream Spirulina powder, this Spirulina Pesto recipe can be used with dips or stir into pasta to create a vegetarian meal that's loaded with protein, iron and rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Give it a try!

 

INGREDIENTS:
• 20g fresh basil leaves
• 20g grated parmesan cheese (or vegan cheese of your choice)
• 2 tsp Lifestream Certified Organic Spirulina Powder
• 6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
• ½ clove of garlic, crushed
• 1/3 cup of toasted pine nuts
• Salt & pepper to taste
• Squeeze of lemon

 

DIRECTIONS:
Blend ingredients with a stick blender.
Serve as a dip with cut vegetables or with pasta
